The Vice President of Sales role is the senior Sales Executive for Oshkosh Corporation’s Refuse Collection Vehicle division with responsibility for whole goods and aftermarket sales globally. The ideal candidate will have the ability to strategically evaluate the market, develop an 80/20-focused strategy, build a 5-year revenue model, design and implement a channel strategy, lead and develop a sales team to the achievement of targets, engage customers up to the C-level, and work cross-functional with peer Executives.
YOUR IMPACT

  • Responsible for global refuse collection vehicle whole good and aftermarket sales
  • Maintain understanding of competitive landscape and how it impacts the business and customers
  • Evaluate market through the lens of the 80/20 principle
  • Establish overall focused sales strategies and programs
  • Develop the 5-year revenue targets (mix, volume, price) to feed the 5-year financial model
  • Design the overall channel strategy
  • Design organization with appropriately staffed headcount and organizational strategy
  • Create, implement, and manage budget for area of responsibility. Ability to understand impacts of different levers to achieve required directional changes to the income statement
  • Coordinate with Finance and HR to develop sales compensation program
  • Implement sales strategy using the 80/20 Simplification tools
  • Maintain oversight to the selling process – target customers, target product configurations, pricing, and margin of product lines
  • Lead the Demand portion of the Sales and Operations Planning process
  • Responsible for the promise dating and slotting process for individual orders
  • Plan and implement various customer events, to include C-level interaction
  • Develop and maintain channel partner relationships
  • Responsible for developing sales team members through career development opportunities
  • Responsible to achieve annual sales revenue goal
  • Provide sales forecasts to leadership as part of the monthly financial forecasting process
  • Understand customer insights and provide feedback to product development teams to bring to market
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or area.
  • Fifteen (15) or more years of related experience.
  • Five (5) or more years of management experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
